Hospice Penang Treasure Hunt Mar 2010

Charis Hospice is a charitable organization that provide free medical support home care services to patients with advanced illness.
For March 2010 event consists of three hunts: a Motor hunt in Penang Island, a Shopping Mall hunt and an Educational Nature Hunt at Botanical Garden.

The main objective of this event is to raise funds for their building project as they have outgrown their present borrowed premise of 400 sq. ft. Their target is RM100,000.

1. Malaysian Mensa Society -The 4th EYE-Q Treasure Hunt
Malaysian Mensa Society-Penang Branch will organizing The 4th EYE-Q Treasure Hunt on 20th December 2009.The Hunt is open to the public.The Entry Fee : RM 240 per team. It will start and end of the Hunt at Pelita Restaurant at Autocity in Juru, Penang. A compulsory briefing will be held at The Caring Society Complex on December 17th at 8pm.It must be attended by at least two members of the team, preferably the driver and navigator.

2. Berjaya Times Square (BTS) Christmas Treasure Hunt
The Missing in Action: Santa will be held within Berjaya Times Square shopping complex on Sunday 13th December 2009 at 10.00am till 2.30pm. Entry fee: 50 per team.
Prizes: 1st - Prizes worth over RM5k, 2nd - Prizes worth over RM1.5K, 3rd - Prizes worth over RM1K
This walk hunt is eligible to all except for Master Hunters.

Mensa Treasure Hunt

Malaysian Mensa Society-Penang Branch will organizing 4th EYE-Q Treasure Hunt on 20th December 2009 (Sunday). The hunt will start and end at Pelita autocity Juru.

Closing date: December 15th 2009 .

The annual hunt organized by Penang Mensa is slightly more challenging than the usual treasure hunts.As such it is ideal for those who want to learn fast the approach needed in decrypting clues.

Treasure Hunt

Treasure Hunt will be a great way to discover new places, mind challenging, time management, teambuilding and most of all have fun all the way.There are many different types of treasure hunt games which can have one or more players who try to find hidden articles, locations or places by using a series of clues. This is a fictional activity; treasure hunting can also be a real life activity. Treasure hunt games may be an indoor or outdoor activity. Outdoors they can be played in a garden or the treasure could be located anywhere around the world.. A puzzle hunt is a typical treasure hunt game involving clues. Sometimes though a hunt may not have clues because of the age of the children.
A Photo Treasure Hunt is a new way to play the well-known Treasure Hunt game. The main difference between them is that in a Photo Treasure Hunt the competitors have to collect pictures rather than collecting items. Treasure Hunts’ have become one of the most popular outdoor activities in our country. We could transform our traditional events to an exciting Treasure Hunt Exploration activities. Treasure Hunt in Malaysia are such as Motorised Treasure Hunt, Food Hunt, Walk Hunt, Shopping hunt etc.

Basic Car Treasure Hunt Event
Every team would be given hunt routes called ‘tulips’ and sets of road questions and treasure questions before flag off. The participants are requested to solve the puzzles where the answers will be based on permanent signboard along the marked locations in the tulips. Sometimes, we can also create fun and interesting activities along the way to add on to the challenge. The participants also need to look for treasure items (in form of questions) and bring back the requested items. To add more fun to this event, we can also conduct stage games with prizes before the main highlight.
The exhilarating hunt comprises of three kinds of challenges:
1. Tulip Navigation
Tulips are the graphical representations of real road features that you will encounter during your scheduled run, these symbols will guide you to your check points and route checks as well as indicate your treasure hunt stops. Competition drivers use these as standard navigation tools.
2. Tasks, Clues & Tricky Questions
Only after completing their tasks and answering questions to the clues given then proceed to a new set of tulips with questions will be provided. The answer can be a name of a person, signboard, road name, company name, calculation number, word arrangement etc.
3. Treasure
This event will help you get extra points, as we will give you a list of items (Treasure) to collect along the way, which you will display to gain points.
Treasure hunt organizer must always stress on safety awareness during participating in the event, good mental challenging, enjoy and have fun all the way to make it as education and unique experience.
